AISHA KHAN FOR CONGRESS

MEET AISHA KHAN

Aisha Khan is running for U.S. Congress in Maryland's Third Congressional District to bring new energy and leadership to Congress.

Aisha Khan is a Mother of 3 children, Wife of Raees Khan and Entrepreneur. Founder of Children Development Center Inc and National Center for Entrepreneurs. Born In pakistan where her education was very limited, Aisha had to go through many trials and tribulations to get to where she is today.

The town she grew up in was very conservative where it was untypical for women to get an education but through the efforts of her father, he raised Aisha and her 4 sisters with an education. When Aisha turned 20 she was married to Raees Khan where she then left her home to come to America, for a new opportunity and to pursue the American dream.

Aisha came to America with nothing but the love of her husband, but despite coming with nothing, the opportunity that this amazing country had given her was something invaluable and she wished to give back to this country what it had given Aisha, opportunity. After a few years of getting acclimated to the U.S. She began to run a small family daycare at her home. She wanted to help the community by propping up both her kids and the kids of the community through her daycare. A few years into running her childcare she wanted to help more members of the community and didn’t want to be limited to her abode so she opened a large childcare center, and then a few years later another in order to continue to expand and help the community.

In 2018 she graduated from Baltimore County police citizen academy, She had also ran for the house of Delegates for District 44B, which borders Howard County and ran for the Democratic State central committee Baltimore County Maryland in 2018. Aisha lost the Delegate position for district 44B by 5.1% of the votes against the incumbents and won the Central State Committee seat by a large margin. She also received the ambassador of peace award from the United Peace Federation in that same year.

In 2019 she then represented the U.S. at the world peace summit in South Korea, Seoul. In that same year she graduated from the FBI citizen academy and became a Alumni of FBICA.

In 2020 she graduated from Emerge Maryland and helped with the Biden Campaign by putting up signs. Aisha worked as the chairperson of South Asian Women for Joe Biden during the campaign.

She then ran again in 2022 for House of Delegates where she had the lead on election day but then lost by a less than 2% margin after mail-in ballots. She then worked with County Executive Johnny Olszewski and Maryland Governor Wes Moore as apart of the public safety transition member at large.

Aisha has an unbreakable will and she yet again will run for a Government position to give back to the country that gave her the opportunity to be where she is today, to give back to the community and to run in Howard county which she feels is a second home to her due to how often she visits it and the proximity of the county is to her. I wish to help young people and guide them into the world of politics. She will now run for U.S. Congress District 3 which is in Howard, Anne-Arundel, and Carroll County.
